First things first let me introduce you to the location of this magical shop. Craftique Nova is located in the land of Lexera, a place where magic is all around and the dragons love to roam. Not only are there dragons but also witches and wizards, other mythical creatures, and most importantly shapeshifters called Izmacae. Here in Lexera we have some of the most diverse landscapes. With the mountains to the north, desert to the east, plains to the south, and jungle to the west, it is safe to say you will find dragons and creatures of all shapes and sizes throughout the country. Visiting creatures from our neighboring lands also come every now and then and it's always fun when they do because they usually bring gifts with them. Keep an eye out for travelers, you may see them wander in form time to time, Be careful though as they may try to play a trick on you!
Lexera has its own language that has roots in mainly Russian and Latin and other languages mixed in. You will often see these mixed into the backgrounds of the dragons and creatures. Below I will outline some of the more common words of Lexera. The language is dead and the majority of the country now just speaks English as it is easier than translating. If you ever get confused on the terminology of this world feel free to reference back to this guide to help you out!
Lets get started! First and foremost lets go over the regions of Lexera and its neighbouring areas.
Lexera City: This is where the Craftique is located and most of the residence live. There are shops, inns, bars, restaurants, and more.
Lyundmers: This is the name of the lake that is north west of the city and is on the west side of the country. As you can see from the map it is bordered by the forest and grasslands making it the ultimate location for wildlife to visit. There are rivers that feed the lake can go all the way through Lexera City to the coast at the south east.
Vitizni: This is the forest that encompasses most of the foot hills of the country. it spreads east of the lake and almost to the boarder of the neighbouring savanna country, Sendari.
Morzdet: The dark woods. These enchanted dark woods are to the west of the lake and house the evil that resides in Lexera. It is home to dark creatures and other lurking energies.
Tacepiktr: The northern mountain range. Amaratis Institute, the school for the witches and wizards of Drevia, and the royal castle reside here in the southern foothills.
Apermir: Traveling south of the city you will find the grasslands This is where the large heard animals roam free and the farmers grow the food of Lexera.
Amaratis Institute: this is the main school for witches and wizards over the age of 10.
Sendari: The country to the east. It is primarily desert and savanna lands.
Pravitaur: The country to the south and is made up of grasslands and coast line.
Derembra: The country to the west. It is mainly jungle with a little bit of coast and tropics.
Goraticum: The country to the north. It is a continuation of the mountain range and is relatively uninhabited except for a few exiles and their followers.
Outlands: This area is essentially no mans land and does not belong to any one country in Drevia. The land is rumoured to be cursed and anyone who tries to settle it will meet their downfall. Many travel through this land but none who attempt to stay there ever are heard of again.
Drevia: This is the name of the entire continent in which the 5 countries reside. For the most part Drevia is quiet and the countries get along but every now and then there can be some unrest and things get a little crazy.
Up next we have some of the more common words used. Some still use the english words for some of these terms but others like to keep things traditional. So to avoid confusion here is a quick guide!
Sekiya: This is the ancient language of Lexera.
Medeki: These are the ancestors of the people of Lexera. They are the souls and guiding spirits that remain around to help answer the calls of the people. They can be summoned for assitance and guidance or they can remain behind the scenes.
Pythimik: Sekiya word for witch
Divimik: Sekiya word for wizard
Izmacae: Sekiya word for shapeshifter. Almost everyone in Lexera is a shapeshifter of some sorts. The common residents have one animal form that usually becomes present at the age of 5. The royal family line is gifted 2 animal forms at age 5.
Zlocae: This is the name for dark magic that is banned in Lexera but of course is still practiced by a few who believe that the dark madeki will rise and take power.
Svetcae: this is the name for light magic. This is the widely popular and used magic throughout Lexera. It is taught at Amaratis Institute and the other smaller schools in town.
Temdki: This is a church or temple
Zloycarum: These are the evil souls and spirits that reside in Morzdet. They cause havoc and bad luck. Some are even called upon to help the caller perform zlocae.
Svetarum: These are light or good spirits they are separate from the medeki and are often called upon to help with svetcae. They can also be the remnants of passed witches and wizards and can take their human form in the spirit life.
Zamarce: The Sekiya word for castle. Only one resides in Lexera and that is Zamarce Novikoff, home to the Novikoff matriarchy. Currently Zara Novikoff and her fiance Luka Tchaikovsky live there with Zara's grandmother and siblings.
Wow that was a lot to cover! Thank you all for making it this far in this mini dictionary for the world of Lexera. I hope that you enjoy your stay here in this magical land and find yourself in love with all the dragons and creatures this world has to offer.
Until next time!
